Only the interest part is your expenses. The portion paid for principle is
not loss.
For example, if your monthly mortgage payment is 900, maybe only 500 is your
mortgage interest and 400 is for the principle of loan.
At the year end, you will receive a mortgage interest statement and you can
only deduct the amount showing on the statement, plus property tax, repairs
and maintenance, HOA etc. |
