公司有retirement plan: profit sharing plan, 里面有我的钱的。我已经email通知
公司请他们邮寄支票给我。公司说因为老板在出差，需要等他回来。
请问是否有硬性规定 多少天一类的 之后就应该邮寄支票啊？

IRA acct w/in 60 days otherwise it's consider taxable distribution + 10%
penalty.

他们的支票呢。

为借口就拖呢？我就是烦他们拖。收到这一笔钱后，我就和公司彻底了断了。

401k money is "trust money"--not the company's any more. can't refuse to
process or distribute. it's against the law.

参加。
我已经辞职有15天了。今天问公司，他们说还不清楚什么时候可以办好，说要花时间。
真是要花这么多时间吗？

不是401k，是retirement plan: profit sharing plan...公司有2种plan，401k我没有
参加。
我已经辞职有15天了。今天问公司，他们说还不清楚什么时候可以办好，说要花时间。
真是要花这么多时间吗？

我等了15天，前公司还是说在等。今天我翻看了一下retirement plan 的annual
statement, and found out it was prepare by xxxxx (a fund management company,
consulting company). so i googled and found their phone #. 今天早上我就直接
电话他们了，关于distribution。他们说会马上联系我的前公司去paperwork，也会寄
给我paperwork去做。我问他们，我的前公司是否已经联系过他们了，回答是否。
所以，当你也离开公司的时候，不要太相信公司会为你着想，会马上去办paperwork，
要自己去直接联系。或许每个公司的老板的style会不同。我知道我的前老板的特性，
他会打击报复,也喜欢拖，尤其是关于钱，一直拖，拖到不能再拖为止，拖到事情都
ugly了为止。其实他何必？他自己搞来的盗版软件windows office suite, photoshop, and others
在公司里面的每台电脑上都安装，他就不怕我去打小报告么？唉。与人方便 就是 与己
方便。 昨天前公司的VP还email我，因为有一些技术问题他们不清楚，想问问我。虽然我很不喜欢他们打扰我，我还是回复了一下，指点了取经的路，最后我还对VP说：“i wish you the best ”。
被他们搞得有点郁闷了。还好，现在是在正轨上了。 |

states for these years--referring to Americans in general:
1. appreciation--when you help someone, he/she really appreciates. i don't
mean just a simple word of "thanks"...
2. trust--average ppl tend to do good to others and trust others. this is
true for the society as a whole. the entire system runs based on trust.
3. generous--not only in money sense. Americans are forgiving. President
makes mistake, admits it, and gets 2nd chance. criminals get 2nd chance.
of course there's dark side of the country... :)
