no dependent, income <100,000) + 8833 to claim my treaty based J1 income tax
..thanks everyone who answered my previous questions.
But I did have ~200 dollars of bank interest as well. While under J1, this
small interest could be exempted from ferderal tax (i think). but what do i
do this time? because 75% of 2011 i was treaty based.. is this money taxable
or exempted?
Basically, should I report this $200 interest as "Taxable interest" or not?
Thanks again! | S**I 发帖数: 15689 | 2 If you're resident, interest income is not tax exempt, J-1 or H-1B doesn't
matter.
