发帖数: 4074 | 4 能不能说一下这个residency criteria楼主自己是怎样算的，IRS的信里有没有说是怎
样算的，为什么不接受楼主的算法？或许对以后的人有帮助，因为这个问题每年都有很
多人问来问去。不过这两年好像IRS开始收紧了。谢谢。

发帖数: 59 | 5 My father was in US for about 220 days in 2012. I don't know why he is not
meet for residency criteria. The notice we received just simply said it was
rejected and please refer to pub 519 for details. i would just give up.

519还没有仔细研究过，我猜IRS的说法是closer connection（？）。
有意思的是，如果同一个人在美国住了220天，这一年又有US$220k的收入，IRS或许会
倾向于把这个人认定为resident。

We went to local IRS to file ITIN application with tax amendment in May. We
just received the ITIN number today. The only change is that we put 2012
entry date on w7 form instead of 2013. |
