Dear all:
We from China First Heavy Industries (CFHI) would like to cordially invite
you to an info session in which we hope to learn from each other and to
attract those who may consider joining us in the future. (Please find our
hiring ad at MITBBS)
CFHI is one of the 53 key government-controlled companies in China. Its
major product lines include heavy metal process equipment, petrochemical/
nuclear vessels, and power plant equipment, among others. In the 12th Five-
Year Plan, CFHI aims to expand in a few new areas such as energy and
environmental equipment as well as engineering service business. People with
overseas studying and working experience are highly appreciated. In
particular, two new divisions, Offshore Engineering Division (OED) and
Institute of Heavy Equipment Research (IHER), were formed to attract talents
, develop new technologies/products/business, and support the growth of the
company.
In this Session, we will introduce the company and the two new divisions.
Also, we would like to share our experiences of working in China from a
returnee’s perspective. This session may be most informative for Chinese
engineering MS/PhD students/post-docs and MBAs who would like to work in a
Chinese company before June next year.
Time: March 26, Monday, 6:00 – 7:30 PM

Jifeng Zhang got his BS and PhD degrees from Tsinghua University and Cornell
University, respectively. From 2002-2008, he worked in the United
Technologies Research Center, focusing on energy systems design and
optimization such as combined heating and power, fuel cells and green
buildings. Later he joined Shell as Emerging Technology Project Lead, to
develop technologies and business related to enhanced oil recovery (EOR). In
2011, he was elected to the 1000-Talent Program and joined CFHI to develop
the energy and environmental equipment, technology and business.?

张继锋本科和硕士毕业于清华大学热能工程系，博士毕业于康奈尔大学。2002-2008年
在联合技术研究公司研究中心从事热电联产、燃料电池和绿色建筑等能源系统的设计和
优化工作。2008年加入壳牌石油公司，任新兴技术项目领导，主要从事enhanced oil
recovery (EOR)方面的工作. 2011年，入选中组部千人计划，并加入中国一重，协助领
导能源和环保装备、技术和商务的开发。 |
