The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Maryland at College Park is looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher in membrane science and technology for sustainable water treatment and reuse. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or a related field, with a strong background in physical/chemical processes and advanced nanomaterials. Prior experiences in membrane materials synthesis and characterization are highly desired. The candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate a strong capability of conducting independent research and preparing scientific publications. The candidate will also be expected to assist in training students at different levels and writing research proposals. This appointment will be initially for one year and, contingent upon satisfactory performance and funding availability, will be renewable for an additional year. Review of applications will begin immediately until the position is filled.
