At least some, if not all, Chinese parents are interesting. A few years ago,
in Boston (I have lived in Boston for almost 2 decades), I was giving out
pamphlets for a guy--a lawyer who ran without any support from whoever and I
took pity on him and became his only volunteer campaigner. AChinese mother
approached me and said her daughter just arrived from Australia and wanted
