Yes, US navy ships are open to the public occasionally. Originally from
Taiwan, I live in Boston, Massachusetts. You know, Pres. Chen Shui-bian
expressed interest to buy Arleigh-Burk class destroyers, but US was not
interested. So a few months ago, the local newspaper reported one such
destroyer was open to the public. I went, but a Photo ID was required, I did
