(i) Below, (1) is a book review and (2) is discussion on an article.
(ii) The (2) is graphic, but it must be, as we are not living in Victorian
era. If you are shy, don't read it.
(iii) Prior to my departure from Taiwan in 1984, there was no such Chinese
term as 磨合期. Chinese from PRC use it a lot and occasionally, to my horror
, the term shows up in Taiwan. Basically I don't believe anything like it. I
