expected. However, I am surprised--though maybe not US--that China is upset
this time (at least on the surface), because the Ma administration is
bening backward for China (at least from many Taiwanese point of view). And
it (Ma administration) in the final days pushed hard for the arms sale (at
least part of the package), to save face in Taiwan (in my view).
The Ma administration needed the sale for political reasons (

My comment: Exactly as I expected. For the past several weeks--before the
notification of arms sale last Friday--Chinese were talking about if China
helped US. Reading those comment, I was thinking: how can China help, when
China does not have cash, either? (If China sells its reserve to buy more
Treasury Bill, what is the point?)

得。
这次土共虽然抗议，但不说向台独势力发出错误信息了。
大家其实都知道对方“现在的”底线，相互尊重，所以这种台面上的抗议是怎么回事大
家都了解
只不过各自都在暗地里用时间换量变，而量变的结果就是质变，然后就是摊牌。
任何一方相信现状可以永远维持的，就象相信竞争对手愿意永远维持现状一样，全都是

(1) Since partial approval of arms sale by US last Friday (Oct. 3), China
has protested to US twice. Harshly. It is also noted that China cut off
certain exchanges with US.
It is odd that China is so upset when Mr. Ma Ying-jeou, one eager to please
China, is the president while arms sale under Pres. Chen Shui-bian in the
past years received protests which were just a formality.

老实了
这不是办不到的，以两岸目前的气氛，我看好6年内走到这一步

们一起玩儿，心虚得很明显，谁都看得出来。
