My comment:
(a) I did not understand 远逊预期 (smaller than expected): expected to be good
or bad?
(b) Increase in trade surplus is nothing to be proud of. Taiwan is in an
unprecendentedly bad shape economically but continues to report trade
surpluses. At the end of April, 2009 its central bank registered more than $
300bn in foreign reserve-- (>$300bn) for the second month in a row.
