n********r 发帖数: 65 | 1 I want to use some non-standard cls file like prosper,
and the Tex system I used does not contain these non-standard
packages, so I download one, every time I use this cls file
I have to copy the file into my editing directory, how to add
the cls file to a default searching path while you are not
the administator? | T*******n 发帖数: 493 | 2 Assuming you are using teTeX, you can put the .cls file under
/home/userid/texmf/tex/latex/.../prosper.cls
then run the command "texhash" or "mktexlsr" to update the files
database.
You can also put the file under /usr/local/share/texmf/tex/latex/...
and then run texhash or mktexlsr as root.

1) make a directory called : texmf under your home directory
2) copy the .cls file to that directory
3) run : texhash |
