The thing is I graduated and started working from last year, so my former
advisor is not very likely to sponsor my trip.
BTW: Not familiare with Knoxville area, I am wondering if there is any
attractions worth looking around. |

你要是有空，Knox downtown（非常小）有个visitor center，里面有个小舞台，有些乐队在上面唱
歌。
那里有很多旅游小手册。 |

算得上attraction的有
去大雾山hiking，
翻过山去cherokee的赌场和印地安人民俗表演，
pigeon forge的outlet，
gatlinburg的小镇景观，winery和水族馆；
还有dollywood的游乐场
如果还有时间，可以开车两个小时去asheville，那的biltmore地主庄园值得看一看
我看会议的speical event里安排了去其中一些地方玩，不过报名费有点贵
可以自己开车去
