for decoration purpose only. Most of the houses and apt buildings in this
country are based on wood structure. I've only seen multimillion dollar
houses built of concrete and bricks (well, on TV).
Plus, what's good about concrete floors? Here people only have concrete
floors in the basement when nobody lives there. It is hard, cold and lets
moisture in.
Good houses are usually elevated from the concrete slab though its crawl
space or basement.

发帖数: 133 | 5 I used to live in those kind of appartment made from bricks and concrete. Of
course, the landlord did put carpets on the concrete floor.
Right now, I am living in a wooden townhouse having wooden floors. But the
house got wet somehow and gave out so many bad smells just because of the
wooden stuff soaked in the water. And the landload could not do anything to
remove the smells.
BTW, any good location around the TN health science center? I would like
some locations near the buslines. So I do not need to drive by myself.
