rackets are MGPMs, 18x20 string pattern. Been playing them on and off for
almost 3 weeks now. My swing speed is pretty fast and I can generate my own
power. Here is my quick summary:
Maximal is multifilament and incidentally Goldenset's most expensive string.
My one sentence review is: it's not worth the money.
The hex poly(18) is a superior string in every aspect for my game. I can
generate better spin and can pla |

comparing with other multi?
Right now I am using hex only. They can last much longer
than hybrid. But I do like the feel of hybrid

发帖数: 1632 | 4 I didn't compare maximal to any other multi - just compared maximal to hex
poly 18 and find it inferior. Since they give the maximal a 10-rating on
playability - higher than any other multi that they have, I didn't think I
need to bother testing their other stuff.
For my racket - I don't mind a full-poly setup as long as the string is thin
. (18 or 18L).

发帖数: 1632 | 6 lol I guess not - I was expecting multi to be more comfortable but I didn't
feel any additional discomfort using the poly. In fact I much prefer the
livelier feel of the poly over the multi.
As to hex poly 18 vs. Ace 18 - I have to say that Ace 18 feels slightly
better imo - but not enough to justify the $9 price difference. |

also how is the tension maintenance? do you see a lot of tension drop after
4 hours hit like luxilon? |

发帖数: 1632 | 8 I've played probably 6hrs so far with hex poly - so far so good - whatever
tension drop it has it isn't too material to me right now.
I had to cut my poly string from Kirschbaum after about 15hrs of play
because they felt completely dead...
I don't think the hex poly 18 is any stiffer than Luxilon Ace 18 - I would
say it seems stiffer than the Kirschbaum. Not enough for me to care. I
wouldn't recommend stringing it on a stiff Babolat racket unless you like it
that way... lol |
