发帖数: 30533 | 4 My personally experience points out many occasions where I went
for better form rather than a safer shot, and thus the ball
was out.
e.g., a wide backhand ball, in order to hit it back with the same
pace, I tried my best to do a backhand drive. Of course, I over-did
it and the ball landed 50% long.
An easy backhand slice or blocking may at least keep the ball in,
although it is ugly to my taste...

block it back much faster...

发帖数: 758 | 6 When I play singles, I keep telling myself to move the feet and be
aggressive whenever possible. If I executed these and lost, I felt I lost
beautifully.
On the other hand, when I play someone weaker than me, I could sometimes
become defensive and push to win. I would feel I won ugly. Of course, the
traditional defintion of win ugly is to do whatever it takes to exploit your
opponent's weaknesses and gain advantages to win.
