The main difference between Golden Set and Luxilon is not soft or crisp, but
the power level. Golden Set is a noticeable less powered string compare to
Luxilon. If you are a hard hitter and likes the kind of "dead" feeling of
string bed to boost control, then go with Golden set. People like CC, ASUS
and Ken213 are examples - all are typical Bao Li Nan, hitting hard with good
top spin.
Also, the "dead" strings work better with heavier racquets, which is not a
problem for you case, but I feel your body size and build and your average
ball pace can use a little help from string power, so you won't have to make
forceful swing.
If the goal is to get a soft feel poly for arm comfort, I suggest you stay
with Luxilon and lower the tension. I use Luxilon Ace 18 string at 37 lbf,
works great on my radical MP. Your racquet is heavier, you may want to start
with 45 lbf to see how it feel. |

this is a soft string to me.You may need string up to 58-60 on ps6.0.My 55/
53 hybrid is too lively for me when using new balls

in China... lol Hopefully can make it out there this year.
Been mostly hibernating in winter with some occasional skiing - it's been a
bad year for that as well. Started hitting again recently, and thinking of
cutting my poly set up since it feels absolutely dead to me(I strung them
over 6 months ago).
Yep my current setup is also Luxilon Ace 18 - with the dense 18x20 string
pattern coupled with the small head of mgpm, the additional bump in power is
much appreciated. You string yours under 40?? Wow I strung mine at 55
last time. I think I'll try it at 45 as you suggested and see how it feels.

发帖数: 1632 | 9 On the PS6.0 I don't mind string it a little tighter, since the pattern is
pretty loose and the head is slightly larger. I still wouldn't go all the
way to 60 on a full poly setup though. Let me know what tension you want on
it - I can string it with whatever I have and bring the racquet next time
we play.

compares. I've gotten it before I think, maybe about a year ago - and have
completely forgotten how most of them played... lol

发帖数: 2433 | 12 Very possible. An a extreme case to demo the scenario: you won't feel much
difference between natural guts and nylon if both are strung @70lbf - but
Pete can feel big difference with his 14oz Prostaff.
In another word, you swing is not big enough to reach the string bed limit
in either cases. I can't feel difference between Ace and Hex when string @50
+lbf either - they both feel dead to me, hehe...

发帖数: 1632 | 14 I have the PS6.0 95 - 95 sqin with a 16x18 pattern, so it's relatively loose
. the MGPM is 93 on paper, but actually close to 90 due to the way Head
measures the head-size. It's 18x20 - it is definitely much denser compared
to the PS6.0... The PS6.0 is less stiff, but weight/balance of both
racquets is pretty similar.
I went to Utah in January, and out of the 6 times I've been to SLC to ski,
this year was by far the worst year in terms of snow... Snowbird was pretty
much a sheet of ice... Then the week after I left - they got 40 inches in
5 days... my luck. lol

reel to 66.20 (15%), then another discount 10% discount for order over 250
dollars and last was the 15% discount for writing the review.
the final price was 50 per reel (660')
I also bought 75 overgirp per Venus' recommendation.

thumb for your racket:
1. the minimal length for main: one foot one string + two x the length you
need to cover between the hole of last string and the clamp on the pulling
device. the last factor varies among different string machine. for your
racket: 1 x 16 + 2 x 1.5 = 19 for main. so 19.5 or 20 should be safe
2. for cross, it is shorter than one foot per string and you don't need to
pull the first knot. therefore 18 should be enough.
