h**********m 发帖数: 87 | 1 I just want to share some of my personal experience related to changing
racket recently.
I had been using Head Speed Youtek for 2 years and early this year my coach
suggested that I should change to a new racket for better control. So I
joined a demo program and started trying out the new Head rackets. I thought
at time that since I had been using Head rackets, continuing with Head
would be the nature course.
My coach made another suggestion which later turned out to be the most
important deciding factor. She suggested that I used the demo rackets for
real USTA matches.
At the beginning, I was concerned about using a different racket every week
for matches. My game, especially my serve, was seriously impacted,
especially when the racket wasn’t the right type. However, it was through
playing real matches, I discovered that the new Head rackets did not fit me.
Compared to practicing, one plays differently in a real match and also
encounters a greater variety of players and shot selections. One also deploy
strategies to set up winning shots. So playing a few real matches with the
same racket is an excellent test for compatibility.
I started trying out other rackets and two months later the choice came down
to Babolat Pure Storm GT and Babolat Pure Drive. So I focused on
alternating between just these two every week and finally picked the former.
To recap, when selecting a new racket, I believe it is essential to join a
demo program and try out a variety of rackets, and mostly importantly, try
them out in real matches. It is true that my USTA record got affected.
However, considering that this racket will be staying with me for many years
and carrying me to the next levels, it is well worth the short-term
sacrifice. | K****D 发帖数: 30533 | 2 I don't dare to do that. I only dare to use rackets that I've
been using for at least 5 hours court time for real matches.
Otherwise that match will be very ugly...

They changes rackets every year or every other year... | h**********m 发帖数: 87 | 4 Of course.
Before I took a new racket to a real match, I had already played with it a
few times.
