last year. He probably also underestimated Andy's progress, his elevated
confidence, and his fighting will to win. He also made a tactical mistake
of playing too passively in the beginning. Only when he was forced into a
corner, did he begin to play aggressive tennis he is known for.
All that said, Andy played an exceptional match.
I still think Roger will come back to win another major. As he said in his
post-match press conference, this match tells him where his level is and
gives him more motivation to improve his game and fitness level.
