to some online ranking, talk to people who live in houses built by that
builder, and visit the builders’ websites. J.D.Power has a list for about
20-30 builders. This list should be surveyed wider than Houston area, but it
still is a good reference. You may still need to find more information
since this list is not complete for all Houston builders and it may not
