Houston Zoo is really nice as well! Some other attractions are NASA, Kemah B
oardwalk, the Galleria Mall which is downtown. The museums are all really ni
ce and I especially like the Butterfly conservatory which is attached to the
Museum of Natural Science and History.
Hermann Park is great if you want to have outdoor lunch or picnic (next to H
ouston Zoo). Another nice park is Discovery Green. There is the "Azalea Trai
l" Home and Garden Show March 4-6. Dining options are numerous. If you aren'
t afraid to try new foods then go to the Bellaire blvd and Hillcroft areas t
o try some East Asian and South Asian/Middle Eastern stuff (respectively).
Midtown and Washington Avenue have options for nightlife/bars.
Galveston, they have 3 pyramids called Moody Gardens. One is a rain forest,
the second is an aquarium, and the third is an IMAX theater. Mardis Gras,Rod
eo Parade,BBQ cookoff lots to do this weekend. |
