website of the consulate.(We used epassportphoto.com to adjust the picture
size)
3.Money order: $55 per application + $5 service fee per envelope
4.Mail type: priority mail with tracking number is fine (regular priority
mail is not accepted. They need tracking number for the service). Of course,
express mail is also good.
5.Parking: make sure you park in the right spots. We parked in the parking
lot behind the restaurant right across the street of the main door of the
embassy (with red lanterns and our national flag). There are many areas that

6.Monday and Friday are always the busy time. Office opens at 9am-11:30 and
1:30-4:30.
7.Bring the original version (passport, birth certificate for travel visa,
etc.) as well as copies.
Actually the officers are nice and patient. As long as you have everything
ready, you will be approved right away. The only thing you need really pay
attention to is the parking spot. 看见那么多人交钱给拖走自己车的人，气愤却又

发帖数: 56 | 5 我去之前也在网站上看了，当时不明白如果我们一家人一起办是多开5美元的Money
order还是每人5美元；另外就是回邮信封，上面没有指明。有人发贴说必须是express
mail，我们买的是priority mail with tracking number。去办的当天遇见好几个人因
为只是有普通的priority mail，使馆人员不受理，然后让去邮局换的。当然最终都能
办成，只是耽误时间而已。另外我没有问使馆人员，用信用卡要不要收手续费，因为大
家似乎都用money order.不管怎样，因为我之前有疑惑，以为大家都会同我类似呢。不
好意思。

俺昨天去了，有点材料没带全。俺旁边看着一窗口大姐人很耐斯，特有礼貌。俺就跟大
姐反映他们网站信息量不足，俺来一趟挺不容易的。大姐态度可好了，一直耐心听俺诉
说。最后看在俺老公不是第一次签证的份上，先收下申请，让俺今天把缺的材料传真过
去。这搁以前不可想象。俺算是体验到人民公仆为人民服务了。想写个感谢信吧，大姐
说不用了，嘿嘿。
