发帖数: 111 | 1 拿到OFFER，10月中旬开始上班。现在的问题是这个工作就是通过SKYPE,TV CONFERENCE
定的，没有实地面试，所以对PLANO的印象就是网上的介绍。
而我们一大家 (两个大人，三个孩子)都在中部，开车到PLANO要16个小时。公司的
RELOCATION也很有限，只有$7000。现在是我决定提前一周先去PLANO，住在HOTEL找
出租房子。这边，LG照顾孩子和打理卖房子。等房子整理好了，交给agent卖，争取
11月一起搬过来。
感觉又回到了出国的时候，一个人来到异乡找地方。当时LG晚了半年出来。这是出
国后第一次这样离开先生和孩子。现在真不知道自己是否受的了。
希望一切顺利。希望有过relocation的大家给一点建议：
1。如何处理车子： 自己肯定是需要车子的，所以准备开3天来PLANO。是否可行？
如果拖车，怕时间处理不好，自己飞过来没有车子很不方便。
2。关于找房子：感觉住公寓可能不合适，毕竟一大家人。我也做过研究，希望孩子
还是在75025的学区，但由于目前房子还没有卖，所以只能租房，请问什么区比较合
适？有没有推荐的公寓或则房区？
另外，不知道PLANO的交通如何。我的工作地点就在PLANO中不地区 (75024)。

2. 刚来看看有没有短期的apartment租。75025的房子好像都卖的很快，不一定一下子
买到好的。75024就在75025旁边，开车很方便 |

Is the area within Haun/Gulledge elementary school good enough?
How good is Clark high school? Mathews/Bethany/Carlisle all go to Clark now.
Should I look for houses in those elementary schools or I better stay
within Jasper?

Clark is not so good and less competitive.
Due to rezoning, Mathews did not feed to Jasper any more. So the house value
in Mathews starts to drop.Mathews neighborhood has no community facilities
such as swimming pool
You'd better stay with Rice Middle, which is best middle school in Plano.
Skaggs, Wyatt commumity has several community swimming pools, tennis court,
basketballl court and walking disctance to Russell Creek Park.
House sold fast in this neighborhood.

Without Plano's rigid training, you won't be successful at TAMS since
students will take all college courses at UNT.
More and more Plano kids go to TAMS even the 1st place at Jasper.
Here is the link for Intel Science Talent Search. TAMS has 9 winners (all of
them got admitted by top schools.

However, if you want kids to have less competition, you can choose Frisco,
Allen and attend UT schools, which are perfectly fine.
But if you have talent kids, you should let them to have better education/
training. If you
avoid competition now, you will still face competition in the future.

even surpass Plano because new comers like to move into newer houses. Have
you see any sign of decline in education quality in the Skagg/Wyatt/Andrew
schools recently? I have a toddler so I am still debating where I should
choose my home. Thanks.

关于Frisco 的学区，好像和其他的DFW地方，即使都属于Frisco小/中/高学都不一样。
这个是怎么回事，比如[Frisco ISD] Spears / Hunt / Frisco 和Frisco ISD] Riddle
/ Fowler / Liberty 。这又有什么大的区别呢？还是DFW地方太多，所以会滋生出这
么多的不同学校。我真是一头雾水。 |
