The water softner itself is not that expensive (about 400-500 bucks). But if
you don't have the thing called "loop", the installation will be more than
1000 bucks. If u r fortunate to have that loop thing, u can actually
install urself or will only cost you 200 bucks. Anybody interested please
ask around for reliable instllation crew with reasonable price, and we can
use that same guy or company for installation at maybe a discounted price.
I'm still waiting for a guy to come to my house. He is out of town. I will
contact you guys once I have the info.

I bought ECO-PURE softener from costco. $399. Capacity is larger than these
sold in HD, Lowes. I installed it by myself. Not difficult. It involves
some copper tube plumbing and soldering. I used flexible steel braided hoses
(called shark Jaw something) for the last mile. It made the job very easy.
Copper tubes, fittings, hoses and welding supplies costed my about $200.
If you have somebody do it for you I guess it will cost you $1500 parts+labor. |
