Dallas police have arrested a man believed to be connected to the slaying of
a Plano businessman found dead in a computer repair shop last month.
Police say Jacorey Dayante Watson, 21, was arrested Wednesday and faces a
capital murder charge in the July 15 shooting death of James Yixiang Du, 52.
Watson told police that he and three other people drove to Du’s shop in the
13400 block of Central Expressway that day. He and one of the unnamed
accomplices entered the business and asked Du, 52, if he wanted to buy a
cell phone.
As they discussed the sale, Watson said, his accomplice pulled a large,
black, semi-automatic pistol out of his pants, pointed it at Du and demanded
money and property from him. Watson said the shooter then shot Du multiple
times, and they fled in a vehicle, taking the suspect’s cellphone, the

second man in connection with the shooting of a Plano businessman during a
robbery in Far North Dallas last month.
Jason Marquise Glenn, 21, was arrested Thursday on a capital murder charge
in the July 15 slaying of James Yixiang Du. Glenn remains in the Dallas
County jail on a $1,000,000 bond.
Glenn and his accomplice Jacorey Watson walked into Du’s computer repair
shop and demanded money and property from him. Watson was charged with a
capital murder Wednesday. During police interviews, he admitted to taking
part in the deadly robbery and told police that Glenn was the shooter,
according to police documents.
