f******e 发帖数: 465 | 1 Coco is a 7-year-and-8-month-old neutered male, weighing approximately 5 lbs
. I purchased him for $650 when he was two months old. He is cute, but
leery of other dogs, big or small. As such, we would prefer that he be the
only pet in the household. As he has been with me for seven and a half
years, I feel that he needs a lot of real attention from the new owner in
order for him to warm up to the new environment. Therefore, we would prefer
the new owner to be retired or otherwise has sufficient time and real
patience to take good care of him. Once Coco gets comfortable, however, you
will become the center of his world, and he will shower you all the love and
attention you could ever wish for.
Coco’s health has been covered by a good wellness plan with Banfield for
many years, which means he has received all the required vaccinations,
deworming meds, physical exams, and treatments as needed. However, since I
have not been able to brush his teeth (as he gets very defensive when we try
to do that), he currently has stage 3 periodontal disease. The symptoms
include plaque, inflammation, tartar, and mild to moderate gum loss. Since
we haven’t been able to brush his teeth, I have had his teeth cleaned once
a year in the recent three years. He also has occasional dislocated
kneecaps in his two rear legs. Both of the above problems are considered
common issues for Pomeranians (see http://www.dogster.com/dog-breeds/Pomeranian). Coco has never gotten sick otherwise and is energetic.
In the interest of full disclosure, when feeling threatened, Coco may react
by biting. This may happen when you try to wash his rear, or sometimes when
you bathe him. However, one of my neighbors has bathed him more than once
and he behaved quite well. Once he feels safe with you, he craves to play
with you. He will follow you everywhere you go. Occasionally, he pees or
poops at home, but that happens when we do not walk him enough or when we
are too busy.
It breaks my heart to give him away, but my busy work schedule does not
allow me sufficient time to take good care of him at home. We ask the new
owner to really love him, be patient with him, take good care of him, and
train him to be a social dog. I believe Coco can be trained to be well-
behaved, provided you are patient with him.
P.S. After you adopt him, if your travel needs call for a dog-sitter, I
would be more than happy to watch him for you. | s*****3 发帖数: 477 | |
