Main Duties: Development of distributed applications used for analytical
purpose in the mobile broad band industry. this role involves writing
advanced javascript for ajax-based singe page web applications. the role
will include primary coding in coffeescript. also, the candidate must have
the ability to work comfortable amongst several technologies and programming
languages. it is not a requirement to have experience in all the languages
that are in play, but the candidate must exhibit an eagerness to learn those
technologies they may not have exposeure to.
preferred background:
• M.S./B.S. degree in computer science or engineer-related
discipline
• good understanding of software project development life-cycles, i
.e. waterfall vs agile
• 3+ years of development experience
• excellent problem solving skills
• experience implementing statistical data solutions or data mining
algorithms is a plus
• knowledge of telecom industry is a plus
Preferred Technical Background:
• Ability to develop software that relies on multiple programming
language
• Proven experience with advanced javascript is a must
• Strong experience in one more of the following required: NodeJS,
RequreJS, Bower, Angular, Yeoman workflow, coffescript, backbone, knockout,
jquery
• Working knowledge of a primary programming language such as java/
groovy or ruby
• Automated app testing with casperjs, jasmine and livereload a
plus
• Linux experience, preferably redhat or suse
• Experience in oracle, mysql or other relational databases
• Version control system experience(git) |
