LZ is young and successful. I think $500K ~$ 800k price range is good
balanced price.
In low cost state, One should bought a big house to take advantage of the
low cost if one can afford.
It is big effort to me to buy a CA 小黑屋.
I do not buy a CA 小黑屋 yet.
I talked to a friend who works for apple few days ago. He said it is big
headache when think about owning a house in CA.

need to pay 2500 a month, this is a big deal, more than what I paid for my
house. Thanks to 2% cap rule in CA. You are right, to buy a 小黑屋 in bay
area is not easy. It cost about 6 times of our income when I bought mine.
Fortunately, it is not a bad move, the price more than doubled now.

They are smart and hardworking, they are my role model. He told me last year
that now they are focusing on investing and learning tax laws.
I aslo have another [upper middle class] friend in a lower cost state, their
family income is $300K ~$500K, bought a $650K house.
We are 15+ years older than LZ.
LZ is a very financial successful with that income.

They Should be financial freedom(could quit their job if they want to, and
live on investments) in
next few years.
[being financial freedom] is the biggest 享受.
I know different people has different life styles.
I prefer [being financial freedom] over [big house], [luxury cars].

I drove a 18 years old small truck(bought @1997). The truck has only 80k
miles. I plan to drive the truck for 5 more years, then bought a self-
driving car when self-driving car is available for sale.
