One person has died after several other people were injured in a stabbing
incident at the University of Texas at Austin on Monday, according to
multiple reports.
The university’s police department said it took a suspect into custody
after two people were stabbed and another was assaulted.
“Unidentified suspect apprehended for stabbing two subjects and assaulting
a one other. One of the victims died due to their wounds,” the department
wrote on Twitter.
Police said “there is no ongoing threat to the campus.”
Austin-Travis County EMS told ABC News that three people were taken to a
hospital after the incident. |
