you need to consider commute and school first. In your case, you wanted to
choose Pearland. Pearland is a huge area: east to 35 and west to 521; north
to Broadway and south to highway 6.
If you want to be zoned to Dawson High, there are two communities you can
buy new house: Avalon Terrace by MHI and Massey Lakes by Meritage. Massey
lakes is more south.If Dawson High is only choice, then Avalon Terrace by
MHI maybe a better choice. Personally I am not big fan of Meritage.
Towards further east, there are two communities Afton by K. Hovnanian Lake
and Bakers Landing by D.R. Horton. Those two communities are zoned to
Pearland High.
On the west side of 288, there are four communities zoned to Shadow Creek
High. Southern Trails by Ashton Wood, Southlake by Perry, Pomona by Highland
and Southern Oak by Beazer Homes Texas. Highland is high end builder and is
pricy too. Ashton Wood and Perry are good, especially Ashton Wood is very
good. If Shadow Creek High is OK, Southern Trails will be a good choice.
For builders, you can always check reviews. The rule is if most people said
it is bad, then it is bad.
