Peter Eastgate has the button. He calls the big blind, giving Ivan Demidov
the option to check or raise. He decides to check to a flop of 5d7h4d .
Eastgate opens the flop action with a bet of 1.25 million after Demidov
checks. That bet elicited no fear from Demidov, who raised 2.125 million on
top of the initial bet. Eastgate called. The turn card is the 8h. Demidov
checks again. Eastgate seizes on this sign of weakness to bet 4.25 million.

falls on the turn and Eastgate leads out for 2.5 million. Demidov raises to
8,000,000 and Eastgate makes the call. To the river we go, and it's the 3s.
Eastgate checks, and after peeking back at his hole cards, Demidov settles
on a 12,000,000 bet. Eastgate calls. Demidov shows Ac9s for ace high, but
Eastgate has the flush
