different casinos. The funny thing is that I lost both the 2nd and 3rd
games (1/2NL) when I was dealt pocket JJ, and subsequently lost to someone
who matched his ace with another ace from the flop.
During the last game, I was dealt JJ again when I had about $140. I was UTG,
so I bet $10 (after saying to myself – oh well, time to lose again). 3
players called. The flop was J T K rainbow. I bet $10 again. The MP and the

1) Although I won, I don’t believe I played correctly. How would you have
played with such a monster hand?
flop j t k, highly likely straight, so either you heavy bet to block this
possibility, or just check if you don't worry about that.
you 10$ bet, is fine, but maybe 20$+ is better.
2) Would you have gone all-in on the river, or kept faking weakness and
checked?
i'll go allin, remember Gus Hansen wrote things like: generally, value bet
is mostly rewarding; they can't afford to fold no | f*****g 发帖数: 15860 | 3 flop bet is too small, unless you intend to induce a raise and then jump on
top.
JTK is a great flop for you but also very dangerous (even it's rainbow), too
likely somebody would call your preflop $10 (kind of nothing in 1/2NL live,
although it's 5x) with a Qx hand. without of position and in multiway-pot,
you'll get into a lot of troubles later on, like an A or 9 on the turn, what
are you gonna do?
for turn, i'd rather mini-raise on top of $45 (since you only got $85
left after calling), and m

Does this mean that as long as I say bet or raise, even without specifying
the exact amount, I can move in chips as many times as I will? or I need to
announce the exact amount explicitly?
Also, I find pocket JJ or TT (or even QQ) very difficult to play. They are
not big enough to bet heavily with and might even give a false sense of
superiority.
as for the string bet part, follow this advice: NEVER move your chips before
announcing clearly, "bet" or "raise", then y

you say the amount too. it gives you some time to make the optimal play too.
JJ/TT are tough hands out of position and against unknown players, as long
as you don't get too excited with them, they're not hard to play at all.
one lesson i learned is to understand the diff. between a good starting hand
and a winning hand. sounds simple? yes, but often ignored too.

| c**********o 发帖数: 213 | 6 bet size is a big problem
do you usually open UTG with 5bb? if you only do this with big hand this
will make you too easy to play with. I recommend for 3bb or less constantly
for your UTG open range (you don't want play a big pot oop) unless you only
open with {55+,AJ+} again this make you too easy to play with. and you
should bet more on the flop/turn. in no limit game bet size is always
depende on the current pot size and stake size. if you bet for value, you
should bet enough so villain won't | c**********o 发帖数: 213 | 7 again I think JJ is very diffcult to play oop post flop (because of the
reserve implied odds) in FR game, so if I dealt with JJ UTG I will just
limp in and if someone behind me raise, this give me a chance to raise 3
times the pot again (will kill action of most of other callers and offer a
small implied odds if I got called) in this situation you only get 70bb from
beginning so if called I will go allin on the flop whatever.
4) Any advice on how to keep excitement or nervousness from showing?
