Then this hand came up.
several limpers I completed at sb with 89o.
Flop A89r. I lead 12$. all fold.
Then bb told me that he folded an A. I asked "why?" He said, "you are
running so hot, and you will hit no matter what you have" I asked "what is your kicker?". He said "7". I don't have a problem with him folding but i thought his logic was pretty interesting. I guess not all live players are calling station. I have also seen someone on another board claimed that the key to poker is to "stay away from the guy who are running hot." This really makes me think: next time when you are running hot, maybe you need to be more careful if some live nits start to calling your flop bet, because their range can be much stronger than usual. | M********g

1) you're hot, i should really stay away from you, unless i pick up AA and
flop nuts;
2) you're hot, so what? i say so and actually i'll run you down (to prove "

Played 15/30 limit recently, two loose guys raised Ax, Kx before flop and 80
% of time they rivered two pair, or straight, or flush! I thought I am a
much better player than them and I thought I could beat them, but when I did
start with a much better hand pre-flop, I always ended up being sucked out on
the river. Once I had AA, raised pre-flop. Flop AhTc8d, I bet, the guy
called, turn Qh, I bet, he called, rivered 6h, I checked, he flipped over
Jh5h.
After I hit Royal Flush last night，I limped in with 89o，flopped straight。
Next hand, I raised with 8h3h on the button, flopped A, J, 5rb, I bet, a
guy called, turned a 3, bet, called, and rived an 8.
So I think if you feel you are running hot, just play more hands. When you
feel you are not running good, take a break or be done for the day. Don't
think you can beat a bad player. If he/she is hot that day, forget about it
that day and come back the other day.
Any other similar experience? I think this is worth some serious discussion.

不过打牌，或者任何赌博的人，都多少有点迷信的了，比如小猫小狗card protector，
比如只穿某件衣服，比如只坐seat 5，比如喜欢女dealer...

至于“他们总能suck out”，这个是心理问题。looose players(不动脑型)光屁股回家
的时候是多数。
有真假loose players，有人是装疯卖傻，其实暗暗观察别人，或者拱别人火气。

发帖数: 7793 | 11 I play monthly home game with some of my colleagues. not holdem game but
limited bets mixed games. If you think NL games has small edge, limited game
has even smaller edge. The only way to win limited game seems to be
tightening up your starting hand. I am no expert of limited game. You are
playing 15/30, you definitely know more than I do.
But what I do know is that running hot and running cold only exist in our
mind.
