guess if this amendment is passed, then all casinos now in MD (slots only)
will open table games too. caesars may not finish their new casino until
2013, but all others are already in place or close to be.
holy sh*t, this means all of a sudden i'll have 3+ choices within 1 hour or
as close as in 20 mins.
guess this is called "be careful what we wish for..."

one of hottest bussiness around.
Not a good news for AC though.

around 2014 or in 5 years, now it looks like this could happen next year or
as soon as next march!
20 mins is like paradise. and there's so much money for "play" in this area,
who'd go to DE/WV then?

but this big caesars deal would push table games bill quickly to pass, then
all maryland casinos will offer them, we'll have lots of choices.

Too crowed and usually too many drunks during holiday season.
30 mins driving distance away seems about right.
Just don't go there everyday after work.
Yeah, I am saying this because I am jealous. It is living like in heaven
when you can play poker and make money 20-30 mins away. |

you should never need to worry about this.
as i posted, poker profit is like 0.7% for the casinos, no matter what poker
games/stakes they offer. it's just a tool to drive more ppl in.
1/2NL is by far the most popular game, in any casino anywhere.

yeah, we all hate to drive long way just to play for a session. but at the
same time, gambling (more about other games) does create a lot of social
issues and is like cancer.
although i did see this coming after they opened the door in DC area 2 years
ago. after all, NO company would be interested in slots only casinos. they
come for the fully functional ones.
then the only thing is, it turned out that this day may come much sooner
than i thought.
i wouldn't mind going there after work and play 2-3 hours after work though.
this could help us reduce tilting too, i.e., we don't need to feel like "
damn, i only play once every 2 months, with such a long drive, and could not
go home like this...."

Casino does not make much more from higher limit since the rake
are similiar. Even in Bellagio, they still have 2-4 limit going most of time.
Most casinos try to use poker to suck you in and hope you play table game
or slot machine there, which they make a lot more.
