p****r 发帖数: 9164 | 1 no cap 5-10 NL. pretty loose table. Stack were not super deep like lot of
times, a few guys had about 2-3k.
I was somewhat tilting before this hand. Did not catch many hands and
got bluffed a few times. I was down a few hundred before this hand started.
I started this hand with about 1700$. It was a limp pot preflop, I
completed SB with 46o.
Flop came 235, two club. I led out 70$ from SB since this flop can hit a
lot of limper's range. I just wanted to build the pot and let the draw pay.
A tricky Korean reg called and a loose/fishy asian guy called as well .
Everybody else folded.
Turn was a 2, I bet something like 260$ , Korean reg smooth called,
loose asian guy raised to something like 600$. I got more tilting at this
point. My first thought was "f**k, flopped nuts got draw out again!". Then I
thought if they had set or two pairs, they should have raised on the flop. So I
shoved with the rest of stack. The tricky korean reg snap reshoved(he
covered me), loose asian guy shaked his head and called.
Korean reg had 33, and loose asian guy had 2c4c. I was drawing dead on
the turn.
A good example of bad read and not thinking about risk/reward factor
carefully. |

f**********1 发帖数: 52 | 3 yeah, no pot control with TPTK or similar made non-nut hands
with a coordinated board is one of biggest leak for many, I learnt it hard
way, especially OOP.
I would have checked on turn and fold to action.

T*********k 发帖数: 1621 | 4 Quite frankly, this hand was not about read or pot control, it was about
tilt control.
Just imagine you are playing your A game, would you shove your your whole
stack on a pair board in a multi-way pot, especially your opponents showed
extraoridary strengh? The answer is probably not.
That is why playing poker is hard. One bad decision could make your whole
days work vain.
Comfort, it happens to everyone though. |
b*******s 发帖数: 1175 | 5 thanks for sharing. so what is a good way to play such a hand? Shove on the
flop or light bet on flop and bet-fold on turn? I also experieced some hands
like this and were sucked out by some drawing hands on turn/river....

p****r 发帖数: 9164 | 7 yeah. it was still a tough spot. flopped nuts straight OOP against a draw
heavy board is hard to play. But you are right, tilting is the major factor
that force me to make the bad desicion.
This hand was played quite a while ago. I remembered cleary since I
played so bad and lost a big stack(170BB) in a limped pot.

Flop 竟然没有人raise. Amazing. Rock city. |
p****r 发帖数: 9164 | 10 that is how lots of ppl play when they play 200BB+ deep. I like the play
with that set though. He got paid mainly coz he did not raise on the flop.
If he raised on the flop and I shipped, he would face a touch decision for
170BB.

H****r 发帖数: 2801 | 12 Played a hand 2/5 NL at V was like the reverse side of this hand. Pre-flop
several limpers called LP's small 15 raise and 4 players to see the flop. At
MP and hold 33 at the time and feel happy to see a 234r flop. BB made a
standard bet of 25 and then EP repoped to almost ~270 with only ~50 left! Up
to that point I only invested 15 to that pot, middle set looks good too.
However if EP is not bluffing the range could be:
A5, 56 -- 1/3
44 -- 10% winning rate
22 -- 90%
pair plus draw -- 2/3?
2 pairs -- ~85%?
over pair -- ~90%?
Considering he's at EP and has been playing rather straight forward poker I
removed 2 pair and over pair from the list. Possibility of 44 and 22 kina
canceled out. He's basically committed to allin and I might be willing to
call if I was the last to act or there's at least another caller with
similar stack commit... However there's still alot of unknown and I act fist
...
Tanked for a while and folded in the end... EP took the pot... EP said he
got 24 but i'm not convinced...
