UTG raised to 20， villain called, I called with Ah4h at SB. Flop A 4 7
rainbow. I checked to hope villain will bet.. Both checked instead. Turn 5d,
two diamonds. UTG bet 60, villain raised to 160, I re-raised to 360. UTG
folded. Villain tanked a bit and pushed all -in. My gut feeling is either he
had a very good hand(A7, 77, A5) or he is purely bluffing. Exercising my
new mantra not to go broke with coin flip hands, I folded. Hindsight I
probably 1), should bet on flop to test strength, 2), should just call
villain's 160 and decide what to do after the river card..... Any comments? | W********m

do not raise the turn for info here, it is too expensive.

发帖数: 1175 | 5 thanks a lot for the advice. definitely a leak to fix. In this case I missed
the flop bet to get some information out of the villain. when he raised on
turn, my initial thought was just to fold since it only costed me 20 so far.
... but again with two pairs, I decided to take some actions.... My thought
was if I just flat call him, if my hands did not improve much, I probably
would still call his 200ish bet. given I like 主动在我，I raised on the turn
. hindsight it is stupid mistake 2 after mistake 1......
Anyway I think not to go broke on coin flip hands for our amateurs are a
good discipline to follow... so sincere thanks for the coaching from you
guys. with this new belief, my 2012 sessions had been all positive....

fire 75$. On turn you were beat. Should fold to his raise instead of
reraising. You could only beat a bluff there. Just my opinion. | p*******p

is very strong, actually you over represent your hand (u looks like bottome
set) to me, and the turn card is somewhat connected to the board,
my feeling is villain has 36 or 68,

发帖数: 1175 | 9 totally agreed on the over-representing. my re-raise can represent a bottom
set to a lot of new players. A lot of time people will laydown their mid two
pairs or even top two pairs. Unless he read me well, I think he got me beat
for sure. I asked him late and he smiled back saying you made a good
laydown...... damn, that is why I love poker:)..... for such a poor hourly
rate......
