A limped pot. Hero checked with T2o on BB. Flop was 863r. Hero led out $6,
the Btn raised to $16. Btn is the type of players who love to raise with top
pair on dry board. I decided to fight back this time and 3-bet to $46. Btn
took about 5sec to make the call. After the call he had $70ish left. The
turn was a 5. I checked to see btn's action. He struggled quite a while and
finally checked. The river was another 5. At this moment I am pretty sure he
had a 8 and a 8 only. So I pushed him all-in.
My question is what is the best play on the flop, on the turn, and on the
river?

bluff. I don't see him folding any thing on the turn or river once he called
flop. I would just give up turn and river because 5 is a very bad card for you. Bad turn,

The only hand that in his range which explains his action and you can also
push him off his hand is 75 (Open ended str draw and he hit 5 on the river).
Any other hand, he will call you river bet, either he has an overpair or top
pair, especially you check the turn.
The best play on the flop? How about just fold and don't make move. It may
look cool if you take down the pot and show them the T2o. But if your goal
of playing poker is to make money, out of position, stone cold bluff in
mulit-way while facing resistance always a -EV play, epecially in low stakes
. I did it quite some times, sometimes I just thought to myself: how the
hell did I get myself into this sh*t? | f*****g

at such low/donk stake, such advanced plays/thinking processes are suicidal
in most cases. most ppl simply cannot lay down a medium strength hand. they
don't (or can't) evaluate your whole string of actions well. if you are "
pretty sure he had a 8 and a 8 only", then unless they're "risking" $200+,
they are not going to fold here for last $70.
on the other hand, such tendency makes value bet so important, like lziueng
said. at least for myself, i feel i pot control too much and miss thin/
medium values too much with a good made hand.

The worst: LD and I will go to LA for vacation soon. My bankroll will take a

as amatuers, actually we never have a real "bankroll" just for poker. it's
always some money for fun we could afford to win more/lose. if we lose some,
then take a break, and get back again. the money we win won't make a diff.
in our lives at all. so don't take it too seriously like i did before, hehe.
for example, you won some for this vacation, then what if you lost, then you
wouldn't go (and enjoy life)?
my poker thing is about to end soon if not yet, got another unplanned kid
coming around this oct. for the last 6 years or "stage" of my life, i truly
enjoyed this game and tested myself out, for me, now it's time to move onto
other more important things, lol.

to score more kids to prevent you from going to the casino.. lol...
On a serious note, good luck with kid No 3. It is such a time sink having
kids. My wife wants No 2 very bad. I am having my reservation for selfish
reasons. But it will be on the agenda very soon anyway. More time for kids,
less time for poker. Maybe it is for the best~

yeah, another kid is for sure the #1 reason why i need to re-think about my
life and everything else, but there're other reasons too to make me take on
more resposibilities. to be honest, i saw this day coming quite a while ago
when i quit online poker before BF. then this hangover kept going for
another year till now.
i'm not a person with long-term committments towards any hobbies or alike,
or every 5 years or so, i tend to move to something new and experience a
diff. type of "excitement".

another 18 years. haha.
It also cost at least 400Ks including their college tuition without considering inflation PER KID. Most expensive hobby indeed.
