database this weekend. My hardrive free space went from 2G to 34G. Never
knew this database could take so much space. |

a 2TB external harddisk only costs you $100 these days, 32g is like peanuts.
i back up all my fun stuff every night to 2 external harddisks, and to
another one once in a while.

发帖数: 7793 | 8 ancient machine indeed. lol.. 5 years old. I bought this additional machine
in 2007 when I was multi-boxing on-line games. it is so old now. it only
has 72G hard drive.
I kept running out of space. Then I realized that it was the HM database
eating the HD away. Never done Purge before. I had to do it to get some free hard drive space. I did export all the data and saved them in my 2T external disk before I did the purge. I think it is very silly, since there is really no use for those FTP data anyway. Guess I will keep it for now just because the space is cheap like you said. hehe.
