那时候一点也不觉得5年长，现在来米国才短短3年，心里
却早就走了好几回了。
想考研，却不知道考哪里。首先决定考科技德语。于是
买了他们的现代德语两册，都学完了。各种有关的书，都买遍了。
导师就选朱建华吧。
读着读着，又想考丁士昭的建管了。老爸干这个干了一辈子，
我想继承父业也好。况且那些施工术语个个都比机械来得熟悉。
又读着读着，最终决定考交大的系统工程。至今还记得那里的名导
王完(水旁)尘和吴冲锋。事儿就这么定了。来米国后，发现了我们
领域几近登峰造极之绝顶高人，哥大商学院的陈方若(音译)，
即出自交大此系，大概是王导的学生，吴导的师兄弟吧。
于是去理化馆复习高数，热热身。老爸开学前给我带了一条红塔山，
送了一些朋友，剩下的自己开始抽了，考研嘛。于是我就更象老爸了
。
后来深秋的某一天，正准备出去复习，忽然得知我保送了。SIGH！那
一刻
不知是喜是悲。烟都抽得快上瘾了，不考了，还真戒了，师出无名嘛
。
于是方知世事沧桑，风云莫测。谁想到那么多条长长的路，竟然通向
一个终点。 |

goal, and only enjoy the time in Tongji campus. My wife
still did not understand why I (a bad student)can get the BS
and MS degree from Tongji.

我准备秋天申请类似专业的phd.给点建议好吗？

OM related courses such as operations research,
statistics, linear regression, and manufacturing system,
etc.
In fact, most OM research is close to engineering.
(2)check top 50 school in USNews, or top schools in OM area.
Warton, Columbia, UCLA, Stanford seem like to have Chinese
students. MIT, Carnegie, Harvard, seems not.
(3) U of Rochester is
a good choice since its rank is relative low, but its

Most companies only hire MBAs. You know, that's enough.

其实做教授也不错
我们这里的教授，有的自己开个小公司，一年下来也20万刀呢。
有的华人教授，经常回国讲学，国内把他当成贵宾接待。呵呵
