I hope all Tongji alumni had a fruitful and wonderful 2010 and wish you
all a happy new year 2011. Tongji University American Alumni Association
- New York Chapter is planning a kick-off meeting for all Tongji alumni
and friends in the evening of Jan 28th. at Chef YU on 8th St. It will
also serve as a celebration of the Chinese new year.
We have just learned that several Tongji professors will visit USA by
the end of this month and will stay in New York City on Jan. 26 th - 28
th. They are: 同济大学科技处处长贺鹏飞、土木学院教授吕西林、原同济大学副校长
、土木学院
教授李国强等. We plan to have a get-together with them. For those of you
who are anxious about the recent development of Tongji University or
planning to go back to work in China, it will be a great opportunity.
The meeting will be a simple reception followed by a dinner together.
The event will start from 5:00 PM. The cost will be about $30/person.
Please let me know if you are interested in participating this meeting
no later than this Sunday so I can make arrangements accordingly. And I
will send another email to those signing up early next week for more
details.
