Zhiwen got off at Elmhurst and paid a visit to the Asian food
market. Each time he went there, he reminded himself against
buying a whole lot, what ever bought had to carried on foot
afterwards; yet each time he'd find things he hadn’t had
for ages, such as arrowhead, or bagged almond, or Tsingtao
beer, etc. This time Zhiwen filled up his basket in such a
decisiveness as if each item of food could fulfill some

所以还是要他说话。有人说应该叫 A Chinese Bachelor's Miserable Life in
Elmhurst, haha....

There are two BIG Chinese grocery supermarkets over there: one is the
ChinaTown Supermarket and the other is Hongkong Supermarket. Lu Zhiwen should
have visited either one of these.
I was more concerned his carrying grocery bags by hand walking blocks on foot.
armchair sounds so fancy here. hehe.
toyed with sounds too toyish, or playish to me.

这个第三章看得我眼珠儿都掉下来啦，嘻嘻。仨小时前想的几个
哀怨的题目完全用不上了，嘻嘻嘻

it is like translating poetry... feels like just done 10 rounds
with ali. =/
btw, dos b and s words freak me out. i take it ying really hates'em
foreigners speaking foreign languages to him. =)

hints being repelled and not able to speak out of a sudden moment's
strong emotionality like shock etc. but ying's protagonist seemed to lose
the ability of expressing in languange slowly becoz of isolation and thus turn
to inward thinking. it seems a transition process slower and more spontaneous
than the english title's meaning. just my understanding. these two
translations are good enough and much better than an
