The major benefits of being Gold is to bypass the counter, so no need to
wait in line to get your key. However, for the very first time, you still
have to stop by the counter for them to verify your ID and other types of
documents. So if you are going to just rent once, you get nothing. If you
are going to rent more, then it makes senses.
Google free hertz 1 club gold, you will find ways of getting it for free.
But from my experiences, Hertz are very expensive. Only business traveler
with deep corporate discount can get reasonable rates. Maybe I am wrong. If
you can find good rates with Hertz, then go for it. | b*******e

i got sentra, corolla, chevy hhr, Chrysler 200c which was considered
standard car.
did you get suv, maxima, genius, passat for midsize car rate? i did with
National.

想加入这个club是因为好像这个club是可以积分的，所以想定的时候就把号加上去。如

rent smaller than midsize. corolla is midsize. what car will you get for
compact?
i actually have never rented anything below midsize.

while Hertz gave me a Suburban.
and you're right, I don't recall renting a midsize from Hertz
