要先预算上能拿到签证停两天吗？万一没被通过怎么办？ 在机场带两天？
如果过的话，机场能存行李的吧？我可能有好几个大箱子，带着走的话就不要逛街了。
另外一般网上定机票，从美国回中国，都是几个stop连着的，怎么能买中间空出两天的
机票呢？ 还是说买正常票， 到了日本机场申请到签证， 然后当场要求后半段改机票
？ 这样的改是免费的吗？
包子大大的伺候能回答我问题的人。 最好是你经历过一次一样的过程的现身说法。
另外FAQ里说： 如果稳妥点，最好申请日本过境签证或旅游签证，而不是到机场现申请
， 那样的话， 美国这边申请日本签证， 去哪里呢一般？ 我在大芝加哥地区， 要多
久？面签还是邮寄？

I booked the ticket through some travel agency. Told them I wanted to stay
in Japan for x days.
I applied for a transit visa at the Japanese Consulate in Chicago. The
application was denied at first. They said transit visa was only for if you
HAD to stay in Japan for x days due to flight connection. Since it was my
choice to stay, I had to apply for visitor visa (tourist visa), which
required a sponsor who had to be a Japanese citizen. They said I had to
change my air ticket. I called the travel agency and was told no ticket was
available. I called the consulate again, they checked the airline website.
Since the same-day ticket out of japan was not availble, now I HAD to stay
in Japan. They then granted me the transit visa.
It was a 3-day transit visa. At the airport, the official gave me 15-day. I
ended up staying in Japan for 15 days.
The end of my story.

It only took a couple of days, or a week. Can't remember exactly.
I just told the travel agency I wanted to go from x to Tokyo, stayed in
Tokyo for n days, then fly from Tokyo to y. The travel agent will take care
of it. |

发帖数: 423 | 7 I changed my ticket at Narita airport. They didn't charge me. I don't know
whether it was simply free, or they didn't know how to communicate with me
about the re-book fee. Japanese don't speak very good English. Especially if
they think your English is better than theirs, they would be too shy to
speak English to you.
Just my guess. Don't know for sure. |
