实在懒得记录,谈点感受和tip吧.
晚上8点多从纽约出发,早上8点之前到伦敦,是可以供大家参考的航班,时间上很合
算.出关的时候,走了fast line是个错误,普通线的官员多,反而比fast line更快.
从机场可以搭乘地铁或者express train到伦敦,express是20磅一个人,比地铁贵了不少
,但是看你要去的地方,两者都是可以考虑的选择.taxi应该贵不少,酒店提供的接机服务
是79(信用卡付帐加20%),人多还行.
总体来说,地铁很方便,四通八达,并且比纽约的车站搞得干净,weekly pass是30块多一
点,很方便.但是车子比美国的窄,显得很拥挤.并且貌似都在地下很深,扶梯坐很久才到.
没看到有什么电梯,带孩子的估计费劲点.
伦敦的街道名字都写在墙上(不容易发现),而不是街头十字路口的牌子上,很容易lost,
找不到方向,并且街道不像纽约那么方正,走着走着就拐弯了.虽然经常会有指路的地图
站出现,本人还是lost掉几次.去大英博物馆的路上就绕远了,记得找museum street,插
进去就到.博物馆本身就不说了,如果有时间,可以慢慢逛,长长知识,可惜人太多,很
noisy.喜欢它三楼的餐厅,价格并不太贵,很奇怪人却不多,跟一楼的cafe人头攒动不可
同日而语.
其他的,白金汉宫,维斯特明斯特大教堂之类,都是大家常去的景点.只是教堂在周日不开
,如果你非要进去看,那就只能其他日子.像我等散逛之人,不进也罢.还有london eye都
在一块,走马观花的话,半天足够,想仔细看就没底了.很有意思的是,虽然景点熙熙攘攘
犹如国内热点景区,但是一个block之隔的地方却安静到没有一个人影.很奇妙的对比感
受,以至于走去白金汉宫的路上(穿越),都怀疑自己走错路了.还有偶尔出现的小咖啡店,
感觉还是适合慢慢玩.坐在泰晤士河边上的长椅上,有大树
遮荫,适合打盹.
London的吃可以接受,味道不差,也并不贵.周日吃了个sushi buffet,20块,味道可以接
受.晚餐是意大利餐厅,一个人20之内搞定(奇怪的是没有餐前面包),并且这都是在紧挨
着圣保罗大教堂的热门地区.在大英博物馆不远的地方,吃了个泰国午餐,才10块.只不过
对于中国胃的在下而言,还没有碰到地道的中餐,并且貌似很多亚洲餐馆周日都关门.
圣保罗大教堂是迄今见过数得上大的教堂了,跟盐湖城摩门教的主堂有一拼,但是显得精
致一些.多数教堂,外面雄伟,进去一看,也就那样了.在那里,感觉有点纵深度.
总体来说,游客很多.城市算精致干净,值得一逛.最好有大把时间,没明确规划,信马由缰

lived there for over 1.5 years, love to walk along the Thames Path..
London is a great city to live in, convenient, nice night life,
beautiful, huge, the only thing is day time is too short in 3/4 year
time.
Weather wise, California is a lot better, but London is a big city,
as no big city in CA, even LA feels like suburb comparing to London.
As a Chinese stomach guy, the food in CA is a lot better and cheaper
than those at London, i do find some authentic Hunan/Sichuan/Canton
restaurants at London, Chinatown is a nice place to do grocery shopping.
Another great thing living in London is you can easily travel to a
great city for a weekend, eg Rome, Paris etc...

a lot of Indians there, feel a lot more than Chinese, but don't like
the Indian food, but went to Thai a lot, i live 300m away from
British museum, there was a very nice Thai restaurant right behind my
apt., where we stopped by like once a month at least.
We did participate one of the Indian year year celebration in a huge
temple. London Marathon is fun to watch.
The sports clubs are way too expensive, the gyms are mostly underground
and have bad smell from Indians.

there is one Sichuan hot pot close to UCL campus which is very nice too.

那个gay区原来有家川菜还可以的，等俺在地图上找找还在不在。
你要东北菜的话liverpool street那的老地方不知道关没关。。
远的地方在kilburn有个安瑞斯，angel's还可以。
国王十字火车站附近还有个川菜，还行，不过俺忘了叫啥了。
都是四五年的老黄历了啊。。。。

之流喜欢的巴黎，是给游客看的。住着其实很boring,即没什么好工作，也没什么好的
文化和娱乐，只是景点多了点而已。

剁椒鲈鱼,鱼的味道还算新鲜,但是从没有吃过这么甜的剁椒...
丝瓜青豆,还是不错,比纽约的甚至还好吃点.
米饭一碗有点小贵,1.8磅,英国米比较贵? ^_^
