last 3 days of our trip, we rented a car and drove from anchorage to
fairbanks and back, hoping to get a glimpse of the northern light. but b/c
of the weather, it was cloudy and rainy, northern light was nowhere to be
found, :-(
you have a much better chance to see the northern light if you go there in
the winter. | d*****o

the northern light, most likely, you will be able to see the fall color in
alaska. rent a rv and take a drive on the denali hwy, the scenery is
absolutely beautiful.
if you go in decem, you might have a much better chance to see the northern
light, but driving on the snow can be a treacherous experience. | u********d

I dont need to bring the tripod with me.
