It is very sad that one of my coworker got killed this morning by a drunken
driver. A intelligent young men, good teammates and lots of enthusiasm.
Everyone, please be safe! Avoid riding in the night! If you have to, got
lots and lots of lights.

cyclist having accident. There are some very informative (British) data here

That's exactly why I just stop commuting in my bike when DST is over 'cause
it's too dark for drivers to see me after work.

accident used cycling as commuting to/from work. And that would be the peak
time bikes and cars are on road at the same time. For weekends,
inexperienced cyclists (like me...) will get on road and ride, or
experienced ones would go for a faster ride?

一般来说，白天，如果骑车人有自己lane, 汽车又不是醉驾
的话，出事故的概率应该不高。 实际上骑车速度越快越安全，
因为和汽车车速差就越小。。

发帖数: 5141 | 11 如果是在路上的cycle path，那是和汽车共用的，绝大部分地带连标注都没有。以前经
常在50mph限速的路上和汽车同行的悲催孩子就是我。现在好多了，只不过有一段40mph
的而已。至于单独的cycle path那离大路就有距离了，而且覆盖也没有这么广阔的。
这点上，我觉着还是美国好，至少在LA我看到了很多和汽车隔开的bike lane。不过其
实最好的应该还是祖国，多么宽阔的bike lane呀。只是当时，我没有珍惜，失去了才
追悔莫及。。。
如果有一天，我消失了，please may penguin rest in peace...

摔死了还好，摔个半残，这下半辈子可怎么过啊....
