Last night, Canada’s two-time Olympic medalist, Simon Whitfield, got into a
compelling Twitter discussion with 7-time Tour de France winner, Lance
Armstrong, and his comments towards draft legal triathlon racing.
In an article, he described draft legal racing as “shampoo, blow dry &10k
run.’
Whitfield read those comments and started a discussion on his Facebook page
and he managed to hook up with Armstrong on Twitter for a great discussion.

Disappointed 2read @lancearmstrong comments that those of us working so hard
towards our Olympic Tri dreams are participating in ‘a joke’.

tri “the race of truth”? NO. i certainly never called it a joke.

@lancearmstrong I interpret “shampoo, blow dry &10k run” as ‘joke’, we
work bloody hard & we love our sport, a sport you helped build.

3:04. i think what he mean is for that guy, with PROPER TRAINING, better
result could be achieved.
from my understanding huanxi is a hardcore who respects talent and hardwork.
o also heard that he is a quite nice guy.

他最后一次和Alberto Contador在一个team参加TDF, Contador在一个stage里，没有按
照之前的计划骑，自己冲到前面去。。。结束的时候记者采访Armstrong对Contador的
看法，他直接表示出对contador的不满，很直接说的。我倒是很喜欢Armstrong的这种
性格，直率。 |

just could not stay in the top league as he did when he was young. even
though he won kona twice.
brownlee brothers and Helen jekins are just amazing. i don't care whether it
is draft leagal cycling or not. tour de France is draft league too.
personally speaking, i think lance was really rude to say what he had said...

如说climbing.
如果骑40KM 都要drafting的话, 说实话，是有点那个。 |

as long as you don't suck in swimming & biking, being a better runner would always win.

time trial, is NOT a team event in le Tour.
TTT is one of the most exciting event in TDF which only happens every couple
of years.

运动员定的， 简单说Lance如果参加这个draft allowed short
distance的比赛， 肯定不是奥林匹克冠军的对手....
这好比跑马拉松的看不起跑10K的， 虽然他不一定短距离跑得过那个跑10K的..
对于不知道尊重别人的人， 不管他怎么牛， 也不值得尊重....

我两个月后的非WTC半铁（Welland）才是真正的一马平川，是个出成绩的好地方。
去年我游泳俱乐部的Brian在那里4:53，而他在Muskoka 70.3要慢17分钟－5:10。并且
在Muskoka他骑P2，在Welland他只是骑的road + clip-on aerobars.

不同，难度也不同(参见今年波马)。
据说Challenge Roth的氛围特别好，全程围观的。Chrissie的PR都是Challenge Roth制
造出来的。
