In John 16:25-33, Jesus is talking about His soon departure from this Earth.
He is telling His disciples that even though they will be scattered and
experience tribulation, He would be accessible to them. He said this, “33 I
have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world
you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (ESV)
For different reasons, this season has been tough for some of you, but take
heart, because Christ has overcome the world! For some of you, the holidays
are a reminder of loss, but take heart, Christ has overcome the world! Some
of you are away from the ones you love this year, but take heart, because
Christ has overcome the world!
Remember that even in the midst of the sinful, fallen, desperate world that
we live in, we have so much to be thankful for to our Father. We pray that
God gives each one of you the strength to continue on and be a light to
everyone you come in contact with this holiday season.
Please get some rest and enjoy the time you have with those you are
surrounded by this week.

Colossians 3:15-17 (ESV)
15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were
called in one body. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you
richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms
and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord
Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
