“深渊说，不在我内。”（伯28：14）
我记得有一年夏天，我说： “我所需要的是海洋”，我就到有海洋的地方去，但
是海洋说：“不在我内”！海洋并不照我所要的给我成就。于是我说：“高山一定会使
我得到安息”，我就到有高山的地方去；我清晨醒来，前面立着我所渴望的巍然高山；
但是高山说：“不在我内”！高山又不能使我满足。哦！我所需要的究竟是什么呢？我
所需要的乃是神的爱海和真理山。深渊说，智慧不在它里面；是的，智慧本不象珍珠黄
金，和宝石那样多。唯有基督是智慧，是我们最大的需要。我们的烦恼，只有基督的友
谊和爱情能安慰我们。——濮登
你没有法子将一只老鹰扣留在森林里。你就是替他聚集了一群最美丽的小鸟在他四
周歌唱，你就是给他在最大的松树上安放一根栖木，你就是差遣有翼的使者带最美味的
珍馐给他，都不能动他的心。伸展着高耸的翅膀，他喜欢飞往他自己的老家——磐石，
暴雨，瀑布中——去安息的。
人类的心，也象老鹰一般。如果没有永久的磐石，就永远得不到安息。我们的老家
乃是天家。“主啊，你世世代代作我们的居所。”（诗90：1）——马可特夫
