发帖数: 3299 | 4 Current bail out of FNM/FRE of $140 billions is to used to cover loss from
those default loans. I can not image a small loss ($140 billions is big for
me but very small to treasury) will trigger any crisis. the loss is limited
to FNM/FRE. However if you leverage those loss 100:1 by wall street, you
would have trouble. This is exaclty what happened. I see less troubles, when
the underwriting of loans is more strict.
There is loss of FNM/FRE. But loss of FNM/FRE does not trigger financial
crisis.

Without people of any income level buying house like crazy because of the
cheap mortgage, how would there be a house bubble?

the house bubble to burst, how would the big banks run into troubles?
